Yin Yoga Integration blends practical insights from Classical Chinese Medicine with Yoga to support strength, balance, flexibility, & clarity.
What is Yoga?
Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning union. Developed in India over 5,000 years ago, Yoga is a practice that encompasses many elements, one of which is the conditioning of the physical body.
What is Yin Yoga Integration?
In Chinese philosophy, Yin Yang theory describes how the seemingly opposite forces of Yin & Yang are at the same time complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Yin represents the passive, internal, quiet, contemplative aspects while Yang represents the more active, external aspects of the self and all of life.
In modern society, the tendency is to become overly Yang, which can lead to the depletion of Yin, thereby damaging the body’s fluids, hormones and connective tissue. Overstimulation of Yang energy also leads to over-activation of the central nervous system, inhibiting your natural processes of sleep, relaxation and digestion.
Yin Yoga Integration blends practical wisdom from Classical Chinese Medicine with Yin & Yang styles of Yoga to support you with strength, balance, flexibility and clarity.
By freeing your Sinew Meridians, these practices slowly release latent patterns physically, mentally and emotionally to allow for greater calm and freedom of movement in every aspect of your life.
Interwoven with core insights from my two decades studying, practicing and teaching the ancient wisdom of Classical Chinese Medicine, Daoism and Yoga, these practices transform simple movements into accessible self-care.
Your body is the most important tool you have to calm your mind and transform your life.
