What will you learn?
How is this program different from other yoga teacher trainings?
What sets this training apart is the integration of Yin Yoga with Classical Chinese Medicine principles and movement practices, much of which have been passed down from our teacher, 88th generation Daoist Master, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen.
The synthesis of these practices was developed specifically for this training. As past graduates have shared:
“The amount of insight and information Dr. Setareh Moafi shares with the students is simply not found anywhere else.”
“The Yin immersion was more than just a training - it was transformative.”
“The theory of acupuncture meridian therapy has been utilized to teach Yin Yoga in other trainings, but what was missing was how these meridians associate with movement.”
In addition to Yin Yoga, meditation and self-cultivation practices, and proper sequencing techniques, you’ll also learn tools with which to develop a home practice that fosters balance, creativity, flexibility, and ease in all aspects of your life.
What’s the time commitment for this program?
We will meet Saturdays 11am-5pm and Sundays 11am-4:15pm for a total of 45 hours over four weekends.
Outside of the 45 contact hours, you will be required to do 5 hours of self-study.
We recommend that you allow yourself approximately 30 minutes a day outside of class for practice time to get the full immersion and benefits for at least the time that you’re doing this training.
Dr. Moafi will provide you with a roadmap to design both your own practice as well as how to properly sequence classes you may choose to teach in order to simplify this integration into your life.
Where does this training take place?
All of the modules for this training will be held at the beautiful Dharma Studio at A Center for Natural Healing at 1807 Pruneridge Avenue, Suite C in Santa Clara, CA.
Who’s right for the Yin Yoga Integration Teacher Training?
The Yin Yoga Integration training is for conscious, creative, committed students who love to learn and want to do meaningful work. Whether that work becomes to teach yoga or to take the tools you learn from this training to do other great things, you’re seeking a practice that’ll support your health and energy to do what you love.
This training is for committed beginners and evolving seasoned practitioners and teachers who want direction, clarity and skills that can inform a deeper practice and healthy lifestyle for themselves and their students.
If you’ve done other teacher trainings and have a background in yoga, great. And if not, this will be a great segway to open you to an integrative practice that you can effectively apply to your daily life.
Though a background in Yin Yoga is helpful, it is not required, and you do not have to want to become a teacher to participate in this training.
This program is designed to empower your life and practice, so how you choose to share the tools you learn is entirely up to you.
If you feel that movement in your body is restricted in any way, if you’re moving through a transition or you feel stagnant in your life, this training is for you.
Who’s not right for the Yin Yoga Integration Teacher Training?
If you’re looking for any type of quick fix or a mainstream yoga practice, this program is not right for you.
If you don’t like to learn new things and new ways of approaching your life and health, this program is not for you.
If you’re seeking healing from an illness and have never done yoga before, we recommend you consult your doctor first.
If you’re not in the Bay Area, this live program may also not work for you. (If you’re out of the area, stay on our email list to learn about online courses).
